Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Bytetify LLC, doing business as Subignite ("Subignite," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. It applies to the Subignite website at subignite.com, all associated subdomains, applications, and services (collectively, the "Platform").
"Personal information" means data that identifies you directly — such as your name or email address. Any other data is "non-personal information." When we store personal information alongside non-personal information, we treat the entire combination as personal information.
Third-party services integrated with the Platform (such as Stripe, Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp, and GitHub) operate under their own privacy policies. If you share personal information with those services through the Platform, their policies govern that data.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Identity and Contact Details: Name, email address, and profile avatar.
- Account Information: Username, account settings, language preferences, and connected accounts.
- Payment Information: When you make a purchase or connect a Stripe account, billing details, transaction data, and subscription information are collected and processed by Stripe.
- User-Generated Content: Files, text, images, videos, and audio you submit through the Platform, including content sent via email or chat in connection with our services.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and Browser Data: IP address, device identifiers, device type, operating system, browser type and version, language settings, and screen configuration.
- Usage Data: Pages viewed, time spent on pages, access times, referring URLs, interactions with Platform elements, metadata about your activity, changes in user state, and session duration.
- Geolocation Data: General geographic location inferred from your IP address. Depending on your device and app settings, more precise location data may be collected.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Third-Party Partners: Applications and services — including social networks — you choose to connect with or interact with through the Platform.
- Service Providers: Companies that collect or provide data on our behalf, such as analytics providers or services that determine your location based on your IP address.
1.4 Information We Infer
We may generate new information from data we already hold. For example, we infer your general geographic location from your IP address to improve service delivery and security.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- Delivering the Platform: Operating and maintaining the services you use, including processing transactions, managing subscriptions, and granting access to content and communities.
- Improving the Platform: Analyzing usage patterns to develop new features, fix issues, and improve the overall experience.
- Communicating with You: Sending transactional messages (magic link authentication, purchase confirmations, subscription notifications), service announcements, and — if you opt in — marketing and promotional communications.
- Providing Support: Responding to inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and resolving disputes.
- Protecting Security: Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- With Your Consent: When you have explicitly agreed to the sharing.
- With Service Providers: Third parties that help us operate the Platform — such as Stripe for payment processing and analytics providers — provided they agree to protect your data at least as rigorously as we do.
- With Business Partners: Affiliates who assist in delivering our services.
- For Legal Compliance: When required by law, court order, or governmental request. We will notify you unless we are legally prohibited from doing so, and we only release personal information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is legally required.
- To Prevent Harm: When we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of you, other users, or the public.
- In a Business Transfer: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.
We may share non-personal information as permitted by applicable law.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to collect data about your browsing behavior and preferences. These help us understand how you use the Platform, remember your settings, and improve your experience. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or through the controls we provide on the Platform.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary to deliver the services you requested, fulfill your transactions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Actual retention periods vary based on the type of data, user expectations, the sensitivity of the information, and our legal or contractual requirements. When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it — unless retention is required by law.
6. Data Security
We implement physical, organizational, and technical security measures to protect your personal information. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe under PCI-DSS compliance — Subignite does not store payment card numbers.
In the event of a security breach, we will notify you so you can take appropriate protective steps. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection, but we continuously work to strengthen our safeguards.
7. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers outside your country of residence as part of our normal operations. By using the Platform, you consent to these transfers. Regardless of where your data resides, we comply with applicable data protection laws and honor the commitments described in this policy.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Subignite applies the following rights to all users, regardless of location:
- The right to know what personal information we collect.
- The right to know whether your personal information is shared, and with whom.
- The right to access your personal information.
- The right to exercise your privacy rights without being discriminated against.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@subignite.com.
8.1 Additional Rights for EEA, UK, and Swiss Users
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), our lawful bases for processing personal information include:
- Contract Performance: Processing necessary to deliver the services you signed up for.
- Legitimate Interests: Processing technical and interaction data (including IP addresses) to improve security, prevent abuse, and understand how users discover Subignite.
- Consent: Where we ask for your consent to process information, you may withdraw it at any time.
EEA, UK, and Swiss users also have the right to:
- Request correction or deletion of personal information.
- Object to specific processing of your personal information.
- Receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format, where processing is based on consent or a contract.
- Withdraw consent when processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — though we encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve concerns directly.
When we process data on behalf of another party acting as the data controller, direct your request to that party.
8.2 Additional Rights for California Users
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information. Note: we do not "sell" personal information as defined by the CCPA and have not done so in the past 12 months.
- Designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf. Before processing such a request, we will require proof of authorization and may need you to verify your identity directly.
To verify requests for specific information or deletion, we will ask you to submit the request from the email address associated with your account or provide information necessary to verify your account.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not provide us with any personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with their information, contact us at support@subignite.com and we will promptly delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
